RAISE THE ANTENNA UPDATE
The KMRE is now 88.3FM!
The Federal Communications Commission has authorized KMRE to expand the radio station’s broadcast range. This is a rare opportunity for Whatcom County to have a “full power” community radio station. We’re talking 20 times the wattage KMRE has today!
Phase One DONE: Boost our power and change our frequency at our current antenna site on the Herald Building.
Phase Two: The physical station moves to Whatcom Community College.
Phase Three: Move our antenna to King Mountain.
Phase Four: Signal boosters added in north Whatcom County and San Juan County.
